Topic: Immigration
Immigration to other countries has always been seen as having a great impact to the country. Immigration has allowed the growth of some nations to exceed limits but may also have an impact of conflict between the habitants. An excessive amount of immigration can not be tolerated such as some major powers such as the United States of America who are trying to prevent the illegal activity of illegal immigrants overflowing into the country.

Immigration and emigration

According to this article from the USA immigration has been crucial to its growth and also to its periodic source of conflict.An estimated 11.9million illegal immigrants have been living in the United States by 2008. Immigration has become on of the United States' most contentious issue in its political agenda. In August 2009 the Obama administration announced that an ambitious plan to overhaul the way the nation detains immigration violators. The plan aimed to establish more centralized authority over the system which holds about 400,000 immigrants detainees over the course of a year and more direct oversight of detention centers.

Article 2: Italy
Europe "must help" with immigration

Italian foreign minister Franco Frattini declared that Italy and Malta would collaborate to prevent illegal immigration by patrols near the Libyan coasts, from which 95% of immigrants set off. Italy and Malta have been waiting for an increase of EU aid and after the Pinar case European Justice Commissioner Jacques Barrot said the EC was ready to offer financial help to the two countries to prevent illegal immigration. At that time Italian Interior Minister Roberto Maroni called on the EU to reinforce the role of its border agency Frontex suggesting that it should be made responsible for the creation and management of EU repatriation centers.

Immigration no longer "racist" subject for brown

Prime Minister Gordon Brown unveils measures to control the flow of immigration. Gordon Brown states that he has never agreed with the political correspondent that dismisses immigration as an issue, or portrays anyone who has concerns about immigration as a racist, he also states Immigration is not an issue for fringe parties, nor a taboo subject, it is a question to be dealt with at the hearth of our politics. Plans for a reduction in the number of posts on the governments list of occupations for which Britain needs to recruit from abroad, hospital consultants, civil engineers, aircraft engineers and ship;s officers are being removed. This list will be narrowed further in the coming year with officials considering removing more engineering roles, skilled chefs and care workers
